We love it there. Excellent food. Drinks are wonderful. Staff is pleasant and friendly. Large menu. I love the tilapia and shrimp. Steak fries are our favorite appetizer. My husband's favorite item is dish with steak, ham and pineapple.

Each time my wife and I get a chance to get away from the kids and have an overnight in Owensboro, we always talk about going to some different restaurant but we always wind up at this one. The food is great the service is great and we always get something we really enjoy. The margaritas are tasty and the ceviche platter is truly amazing. For reference I travel both domestically and internationally around 100 nights per year eating all sorts of local foods.

Best Mexican restaurant in Owensboro! The food was hot, delicious and the menu had so many things to choose from. The service was awesome! Gotta give props to our severer Brayan! I gave 5 star on everything but atmosphere and I gave it a 4 only problem was the size of the restaurant. This was our first time here but this will be our new favorite Mexican restaurant.

I've dined here a couple times and never been disappointed. I'm happy to report that they have a fairly extensive vegan selection, but I will admit that I question if their sour cream is vegan (I didn't bother to ask, I just didn't eat it). There were four people in my party this last time and we had everything from chicken nuggets to chicken chimichangas to vegan fajitas. Everything was fresh, hot, and tasty. Our server, an older gentleman, was on top of everything and always checking in on us. It's nice to see that there's a good place in downtown to get vegan food now. Kernel approved: 5/

Wow. Didn’t expect my favorite Kentucky Mexican joint in Owensboro, but it is. Food was fantastic. Great sitting outside. Fajitas were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Pricing was more than fair. 5 stars.

The chicken fajitas are very, very good. Portions are very big, and the ratios are just right. Business traveler from texas and this one is definitely being saved to my extensive favorites and will be returning!

Found this spot on a day trip to Owensboro. Actually, it was one of the very few places open on Labor Day. Nice outdoor seating area. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were big. Server was attentive and was on it with everything we asked for. It was a very nice lunch!

Truly a five star experience I love the vibes here and the food is truly amazing, cooked to perfection and every time I ordered I'm always absolutely pleased with how wonderfully amazing the food tastes, the servers are always friendly and I can say for certain that Don Mario's is indeed, The place to go for some food Mexican food looking forward to spending more money here and getting more truly delicious meals
